I would like to thank all my customers for their business support through the COVID pandemic. This time has been a challenge for all of us and our unwaivering spirit will carry us through. It is so very difficult to be distanced from our friends and acquaintances. Humans are social beings and we continue to find creative ways to stay connected. I can only guess at the challenges our forefathers and mothers went through during the Spanish Influenza pandemic of 1918 with less options available to communicate with their social circles.
An alternative form of communication that has been embraced by many has been sending flowers. A warmest salutation with the ability to social distance at top of mind, from afar or maybe not so far. Flowers now, more than ever, assist people to communicate between themselves. It is this communication I take very seriously to create that message of magnificence for them, with flowers.
During this difficult time of COVID…social distancing and masks, I have realized that the simple joys of human life have been returned to us. The gift of more time without the tightly scheduled tasks that life was pre-COVID. More time for cycling, gardening and phoning that friend to insure they are okay. Or let someone feel your loving embrace with flowers delivered to their door.
With the COVID pandemic globally inundating the entire world…I also want people to know that flower supply has also been challenged. Lock downs the world over have compromised workers ability to go to work and flower farms have been no exception. International shipments are less and have many limitations . Our suppliers on every level have worked tirelessly to help florists deliver a quality product to our customers.
Thank you for your business….I appreciate talking to each one of you. The social impediments we face now will not be forever and in the words of Dr Bonnie Henry, our provincial health officer, Be Kind, Be Calm and Stay Safe. And remember…all things must pass.
